Coach Mike with Shades

I am simply a Lacrosse Coach just like you, albeit maybe a little older. I am old. Like you, I have been truly committed to giving back to the game we love, and the game that has given all of us so much. Like you I have worked with teams with kids under the age of twelve, Youth Programs, Club Programs HS Varsity Programs, JV Programs, All Star Games and Select Travel Teams.

Like you, I have dealt with the changing nature of Kids, Parents, Boosters and School Administrators. I have been recruited to coach in prestigious programs, and I have also been fired. I have had the fortunate experience to both play and coach in State Championship Games, in front of thousands as well as play and coach in front of 17 parents and friends in 36 degree weather.

Like you, I have been blessed to play for awesome Coaches whose words and messages are with me every day. I have also been coached by coaches at every level who were not nearly as good.

I have attended and learned so much at all the National Conferences both at the High School level as well as the IMLCA and the common denominator in our sport is that coaches will truly help each other. And thus the introduction of our site, where “Coaches are getting better…together.”
