4V4 Transition for Fun Lacrosse Drill
In our recent interview with Coach Chris Wojcik from Harvard, I was so impressed with this young coach, he shared this unique lacrosse drill, which he described as his player’s favorite drill, and it is easy to see why… Even as much as we love 4V4 in our drill set, here is an awesome option with more fast paced up and down.
Sometimes as we gather unique drills from the college coaches they do not always translate to a HS or Rec Coach as they have 40 plus players in a college lacrosse practice, while most of us have 18-25 on any given day. This drill does translate to all of us, players of all ages and in its simplest form, blast for the kids, but there are also awesome ways to integrate key teaching, coaching fundamentals into the action.
Coach runs this drill from sideline to sideline with cages on each sideline creating a ‘short’ field. Your options include how much space you might want to leave behind the cage depending on the day or variation discussed below.
