(Click the here to hear him describe our new drill for Free Members)
Under Cottle’s leadership the Terrapins had made seven-straight trips to the NCAA tournament, earned a top-three seed four times and advanced to the Final Four in 2003, 2005 and 2006. Since 2003, Maryland is one of only four programs to make three final four appearances.

Coach Cottle shares his practice outlines and strategies including at least eight of the drills that have made Maryland a real force in the 2010 season. We feature a great full field ground ball transition drill I believe he called the ‘Call Back’ Drill in our articles section.

He is currently serving a term on the NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse committee and is the vice-president of the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.

Cottle, rewcently finished his 27th season as a head coach, is tied for first all-time in NCAA history with 20 NCAA tournament bids. He is currently fifth among active coaches in wins with a 71.3 winning percentage, which ranks sixth among active coaches with at least 100 wins. Get a pen and a lot of paper, and you may need to listen more than once.

We found Coach Cottle to be a great interview and full of great drills, we wish him the best in his next coaching assignment…
