Home / Featured / Interviews-Drills / Podcast: Coach Cantabene, Stevenson University

You may not have been that familiar with Stevenson University in the past, but after last year’s NCAA DIII run, you probably do now. They were 17-2, had six All Americans most of which are returning, and made it to the DIII semis. Coach Paul Cantabene is one of the top offensive coaches in the game, their explosive offense averaged almost 46 shots a game, and 13 goals per game, while holding opponents to only .226 conversions on Man Down. They went 2-1 versus perennial power Salisbury (my favorite team)

Coach Cantabene has been a star in both the indoor as well as outdoor (Baltimore Bayhawks,) professional lacrosse circuits after playing at Loyola, and one of the top face off players in the country. He was an Assistant Coach at Maryland, Hopkins and Towson. He encourages a wide open up and down style and shares drill that help make that happen. In this interview you will get some great full field drills as well as the Man Up play in our current article (see drawing of play) and sample of the Podcast.
