Home / Featured / Interviews-Drills / Podcast: Coach Marr, Albany

A few years back I had the opportunity to hear Scott Marr speak at the IMLCA Conference and was amazed at how many Division I Coaches were in the audience taking pages of notes as he spoke about offensive movement. He guided Albany to their first ever NCAA appearance back in 2003, in 2006 he was named an Assistant Coach for the US Men’s Lacrosse Team, and in 2007 was honored as the USILA Division I Coach of the Year.

He played at Hopkins, and coached at Delaware and Maryland. He coached Jordan Levin, Cory Small, Chris Schonger and Brett Queener. On the interview you will learn his insights into “Anticipation” and get some great practice ideas such as his “Jailbreak Drill” (see our article, and sample podcast) and an awesome Ground Ball Drill he calls the “Circle Drill,” for improving Ground Balls, in a fun and effective way. I learned a lot and I am sure you will too!
